Season Wrap: Providence

Providence held its own this season finishing with a 9-9 Big East record for a ninth place finish in the conference.

The Friars earned their wins by crashing the boards, hard. They ranked 38th in the country in rebounds per game averaging 37 boards throughout the season.

Highlights of the season for Providence are wins over number 21 Notre Dame and number 17 Cincinnati during the regular season. Provy 2

Although the Friars believe they got snubbed out of a big dance ticket, they made the most out of their NIT berth, making it to the quarterfinals before losing to two seed Baylor.

This is a program that has had highs and lows throughout its existence, but this season provides Friar fans with optimism for the near future.
