Bulls dealing with the flu

The flu.

It sucks and if you have it, I feel really bad because well it sucks.

Remember when Michael Jordan played with the flu in the NBA finals against the Utah Jazz in 1997?  Pretty amazing, right?

Here’s a reminder if you don’t remember.

It took an incredible athlete to do what Jordan did that night and we can all agree that Jordan was just that, incredible.

Tonight the Bulls have a similar problem. No Derrick Rose, which at this point has become the norm, but Kirk Hinrich has been ruled out and apparently the flu has spread throughout the Chicago locker room.

To begin with the day started with Luol Deng and Taj Gibson being questionable.

Out

The Hinrich news was no surprise, but Gibson and Deng both looking sick?  Not looking good for the Bulls, but it still looked like both players would suit up to play tonight.

But wait, there’s more.

Deng

Great. Deng, even if he does play probably won’t be affective.

But the Bulls still have Nate Robinson and even though I don’t particularly like his playing style there is always the chance he goes off and shoots the Bulls to victory.

Wait. Hold on. Him too?

NR

You have to be kidding me?

Robinson will most likely play tonight, but even the most positive Bulls fan can’t be feeling too good about game six.

As I see it, I hope Hinrich gets better for game seven in Brooklyn.

Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
