The Chicago Blackhawks opened camp yesterday with a tour of the athletics facilities at Notre Dame.
Reluctant to call their run a dynasty, the CEO of the team, John McDonough is looking to Coach Q and GM Stan Bowman to close the chapter on the 2013 team.
Players insisted that winning the stanley cup last year will not effect their performance this year. Duncan Keith called it a challenge for the team to come out and show that they were ready to play.
The team posted pictures to their Instagram account that showed the players wearing the famous golden helmets as well as shamrock themed gloves.
The Hawks got great news from the captain yesterday as well. Jonathan Toews, who has spent his entire career with the Blackhawks, said it would be hard for him to want to play anywhere else according to the USA today.

Brandon Saad, a strong left winger, will be tried out for the second line center first, but he will have to compete with Michael Handzus, who held the spot on the line all last season, and Brandon Pirri, the AHL’s leading scorer last season.
Coach Q has said that Handzus will skate but will not scrimage for the next few days
