Solar Powered Drinking Water

MIT researchers, led by Steven Dubowsky, professor of mechanical engineering and of aeronautics and astronautics, have figured out a new way to supply fresh drinking water to other countries that do not have the same advantages we do. In other countries, such as the Yucatan Penninsula, it can take over a day’s trip to obtain water and many of the residents can not even afford it once they reach it. The MIT researchers and Dubowsky seem to have created a system that uses the sun to purify the water in wells. This solar invention will not only allow people to have water nearby, but also at no cost.medium
