Former Swedish Elite League player and Blackhawk third round draft pick Joakim Nordstrom was assigned to the Rockford Ice Hogs on Sunday.
Through the first 8 games, Nordstrom had 1 goal and a plus 1 rating on the ice, meaning that there was one more goal scored by the Hawks than their opponents when Nordstrom was on the ice.
He also averaged 10:42 minutes of game play.
According to ESPN’s Scott Powers, Nordstrom was a long shot to make the team coming out of training camp.
The Hawks have not made a corresponding move powers said in his report.
