While the spotlight has been surrounded by Derrick Rose this preseason, Joakim Noah has yet to play a minute. The Bulls starting center has had groin issues and could possibly miss the season opener against the Miami Heat.
Noah is a must need for the Bulls. He doesn’t show it in the stat sheet all the time, but his presence on the court is seen if you watch the game. The number of loose balls he’s recovered, or offensive rebounds he gets in a game goes a long way.
The Bulls biggest issue the last couple years has been the health. With their superstar back healthy it is important for their whole team to stay healthy if they want to make a run at an NBA Championship.
It’s still early so there is no reason to take Noah’s injury seriously, but the potential starting lineup that the front office has developed has not played together in over a year due to injuries.
That will forever be the question for this season for the Bulls this season.
