After another preseason win for the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday, it is clear that they are favorites in the East, at least that’s what Derrick rose said.
Rose continued his impressive preseason against the Thunder scoring 26 points to go with 6 assists. Rose started the game struggling to score, but came on late to help the Bulls win the game.
While the game is just preseason, it is a positive thing that Rose is leading the team when it matters most. The Bulls missed Rose in many ways last season, but maybe most of all is his ability to take over games in the 4th quarter and contribute down the stretch in many areas.
Rose scored 13 of his 26 points in the fourth quarter, and overall he played 35 minutes which is the most since he has been back.
I believe with the way the Bulls have looked this preseason, they are an automatic top 1 or 2 team in the Eastern Conference.
What makes their team go is defense and execution on the offensive end of the court, which is Derrick Rose’s play. Not just his scoring but how he makes everyone on the court better.
He attracts so much attention when he comes off a screen-roll play that there is someone always open.
The Bulls biggest test will be in games against the Miami Heat this season.
