Bulls fall to the Pelicans

The Chicago Bulls lost their first home game of the season to the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday night at the United Center in 3 overtime sessions with a score of 131-128.

The Bulls were led by Luol Deng and Taj Gibson throughout the game. Deng was close to a triple-double with 37 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists. Gibson had 26 points and 14 rebounds.

All season long, the Bulls have struggled defensively at the end of games, and the Pelicans showed that in the overtime sessions. Their last possession the Pelicans got to the basket with no one there to stop them.

With Anthony Davis out for the Pelicans, New Orleans didn’t look like they needed him offensively. Ryan Anderson, Davis’ backup led the team in scoring with 36 points and 6 rebounds.

Bulls look to rebound off their last two losses against the Miami Heat on Thursday.

Here’s the highlights to the game.
