The Chicago Bulls sent point guard Marquis Teague to the Iowa Energy Development League today.
Teague has struggled this season since Derrick Rose went down with a knee injury. When Rose sat out he was projected to backup Kirk Hinrich, but in the minutes he’s played he has not played well which led to the Bulls front office sending him to the D-League.
Teague was only averaging 1.2 points per-game and 0.8 assists per-game. With Teague now out of the lineup completely, veteran Mike James will take over the backup spot without any question of who will play.
James numbers are not much better, but the Bulls chose him over Teague because of his experience and ability to run the offense more smoothly.
