After CEO Mike Jeffries made some controversial comments about Abercrombie & Fitch’s sizing (which only goes up to a size 10/large for women) shareholders want him out. Forbes reports investors Engaged Capitol LLC filed a report to the company’s board saying Jeffries should be replaced in February when his contract expires. “Given the Company’s history of operational missteps, taken together with Mr. Jeffries’ age and his increasingly controversial reputation, the Board must not let this opportunity pass,” said Glenn Welling in the 9-page document filed with the board. Welling is a managing member at the activist hedge fund. “We urge the Board to immediately commence a CEO search for candidates with relevant retail apparel and turnaround experience.”
