As soon as Marquis Teague got off the plane in Iowa when he was sent down to the Bulls Developmental League, he was called to come back. Mike James, point guard who took his spot, apparently has a sprained MCL and will be out for 1-2 weeks.
Just another injury that seems to always haunt the Bulls. Derrick Rose, Jimmy Butler, and now Mike James are missing significant time.
This now makes Teague the backup point guard to Kirk Hinrich. Teague has struggled this season, but now that there’s no one competing for his position, at least for a couple weeks, he can prove that he deserves to stay on the Bulls roster.
Bulls fans wouldn’t mind seeing him play better since he’s a former first round pick. Teague and the Bulls get a tough match-up tonight against the Miami Heat. The Bulls have lost their last two and are two games below the .500 mark.
Doesn’t look good right now, but the Bulls always seem to get through these situations. Last season is a great example.
