Carmelo Anthony scored 30 points, while also setting a new All-Star Game record for three-pointers made with eight on Sunday.
Friday night, Tim Hardaway Jr. also went on a scoring tear with seven made three-pointers helping to tally up 36 points for the game.
Even though both Anthony and Hardaway Jr. enjoyed the All-Star break, they will have to come back to reality when they rejoin the Knicks in Memphis against the Grizzlies on Tuesday and then when they head to play the Pelicans on Wednesday.
The rumors about Mike Woodson’s firing, and potential trades have died down over the weekend especially when Anthony said that he is willing to take a pay cut to help the Knicks’ rebuild over the weekend.
The NBA trade deadline is Thursday at 3 p.m. central time.
