Knicks will miss the playoffs

Knicks togetherThe Atlanta Hawks victory over the Miami Heat on Saturday officially eliminated the New York Knicks from playoff contention.

New York beat the Raptors in Toronto 108-100 on Friday. Carmelo Anthony led the Knicks with 30 points, 8 boards and 3 assists. Amare Stoudemire also contributed with 24 points and 11 rebounds.

DeMar DeRozan guided the Raptors with 26 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the game. Kyle Lowry was right behind him with 25 points. Jonas Valanciunas eclipsed a double-double with 14 points and 21 rebounds.

The Knicks hosted the Chicago Bulls earlier today and won 100-89. Tim Hardaway Jr. led the Knicks in scoring with 20 points. Anthony and J.R. Smith scored 17 points apiece.

Joakim Noah almost had his fifth triple-double of season with 13 points, 17 rebounds and 9 assists. Jimmy Butler had 17 points, 3 assists and 3 rebounds. Mike Dunleavy and Taj Gibson also had 13 points each.

The Knicks final two games of the season will be Tuesday in Brooklyn against the Nets, and Wednesday when they host the Raptors.
