California-based deathcore group Suicide Silence recently released its first recorded song with new vocalist Hernan “Eddie” Hermida, who was previously the vocalist of All Shall Perish.

The band lost its previous vocalist, Mitch Lucker, in a motorcycle accident in 2012.

The new song is called “Cease to Exist,” and it is an angry song to say the least.

The song is about hating someone so much that you would actually put yourself through torture to see them harmed or killed.

The chorus goes, “I would drag myself through a mile of broken glass, just to watch you cease to exist.”

Not incredibly creative, I’d say, but the song is definitely full of passion and anger and the heaviness that Suicide Silence is known for.

As for Eddie’s touch, high or low, his screams are on point. He can transition seamlessly from a banshee screech to Satan on testosterone.

I for one am eager to see what the band comes out with next, and I’m glad to see the members back on their feet again doing what they do best—being over-the-top hardcore.

Suicide Silence’s new album, “You Can’t Stop Me,” will be released July 15 via Nuclear Blast.
