Last nights game against the Pittsburgh Penguins was the second win for the Blackhawks, giving them momentum and a much needed confidence boost after losing two to the Winnipeg Jets and Dallas Stars.
The goal scorers for the Blackhawks in regulation were David Rundblad and Marian Hossa, while the Penguins who found the back of the net were Zach Sill (who scored his first NHL goal last night) and Steve Downie.
Goaltender Corey Crawford had an amazing game, saving 33 out of 35 shots to keep the game tie. He did however get a little careless and get a penalty for high sticking on Steve Downie. Marc-Andre Fleury also had a good game stopping 24 out of a possible 26 shots on goal.
It was good to see the Blackhawks play last night. They seemed to have a lot of room on the ice, especially at the Rundblad goal, where he got four shots in a row with him finding the back of the net on the fourth.
When it came to the shootout, Crawford was a wall. Stopping both shots from David Perron and Sidney Crosby was all the Hawks needed to put another notch in the win column. Toews and Patrick Kane both scored
The Blackhawks will play again on Wednesday against the Los Angeles Kings in LA.
