With newly released albums, Kanye West and Jay Z waste no time with getting back on the stage. Only this time both rappers will not be performing together. Hip Hop fans nationwide couldn’t help but be excited yesterday, when the legends announced their tour dates on the same day.

Mr. West announced his “Yeezus” tour with a press release and a tweet that included a simple link to a photo captioned “Kanye West’s 1st Solo Tour in 5 Years with Kendrick Lamar“.

NY Daily News reports that Mr. West will travel to 23 cities starting October 19th. The artist also released a press release hinting of a special guest performing in select cities, as for the name of that special guest, we have to wait to find out. It’s uncertain why Kanye chose Kendrick Lamar to be his opening act, my guess is it has something to do with his verse on fellow rapper Big Sean’s track titled “Control”. The verse created a lot of controversy in the Hip Hop world. It will be exciting to see what Mr. West will do to prove he is still one of the best in his genre.

As for Jay Z, his “Magna Carta World Tour” will begin November 30th in St. Paul, Minnesota as reported by Def Jam record label.

Hova, who has yet to release a name for a possible opening act, will tour 34 U.S. cities after finishing up his international tour dates. His recent album, Magna Carta Holy Grail, has recently reached double platinum status.

Jay Z fans can purchase “Magna Carta World Tour” tickets starting September 12th and Mr. West’s “Yeezus” tour tickets will be available for purchase the following day, September 13th.

Similar to Kanye, Jay Z’s tour will prove to many why he will remain a legend. The fall and winter just got a little more interesting!
